Borel is, to many guests, an easy lake to fish since the fish seem to congregate in the same areas year after year and the lake produces a great number of walleye and northern pike on a regular basis. Catch and eat (the small fish) is the practice here.
The portage lake (Bev Lake), which is catch and release fishing, can be very exciting. Since there is a sizable moose population in the area, moose can often be seen while fishing and definitely are seen by our hunters. Our 4-6 person cabin is the only cabin on the lake.
